Your digital documents: they are in your customer portal within 8 minutes of your application. This applies once your payment is approved and your application is complete and valid (Terms and Conditions, section 8).

Your printed booklet: if you ordered one, it ships the next business day (Shipping Policy).

What to do next

1Find your order email. Its subject starts with “ITA Order:”. It holds your username and password. If you cannot find it, look in your Spam and Promotions folders.
2Log in at order.e-ita.org/login. Copy and paste your login details from the email, because they are case-sensitive. Bookmark the page, because it is separate from e-ita.org.
3Open the Digital documents section and click Download for each document.
4Print your documents and sign your printed copy under your photo. A professional print shop gives the best result. See the printing guide.
5If you ordered the printed booklet, follow it in the Shipping status card in your portal. Free standard shipping does not include tracking.

Before you drive

Carry your home license

The E-ITA booklet is a translation of your driver's license, not a replacement. It is valid only together with your valid home license, so carry both.

Where it is not accepted

The E-ITA booklet is not accepted in Japan, South Korea, or mainland China. Is your destination one of these? Email support@e-ita.org with your order details and destination. E-ITA cancels and refunds the order.

Fix a detail or get help

Wrong date of birth, license detail, or vehicle category? In your portal, click Edit on the card, correct the field, and click Save. New digital documents are made within a few minutes.
No login email, or forgot your login? Use Forgot Username or Password. Enter the email address and date of birth from your order.
Anything else? See the Help Center, or email support@e-ita.org.

Publishing notes for E-ITA (annotation, not page content)

Why this page: https://e-ita.org/thank-you/ returns 404 and got 51 sessions in the last 28 days (to 2026-10-03), all direct visits. So past buyers still open it from old links. The order app has no live thank-you page: https://order.e-ita.org/thank-you/ shows “404 Page Not Found” in a browser (checked 2026-10-05).

Sibling pages: /thank-you-gb/, /thank-you-landing/, and /thank-you-eu/ also show “404 Page not found” (checked in a browser 2026-10-05). In the last 28 days only /thank-you-gb/ had visits (3). Give them the same treatment as /thank-you/.

Two options. Option A, in the Recovery Plan (Phase 0, step 3): a 301 from /thank-you/ to the Help Center. Option B: publish this page at /thank-you/. Pick one.

Do not publish login patterns. The old page (Wayback Machine copy of 2025-09-13) listed the rule for default usernames and passwords, with a worked example. Anyone who knows a buyer's name and birth date could guess that login.

Keep the page out of search. Add a noindex robots tag and leave it out of the XML sitemap. It is a page for buyers, not a search page (0 search clicks in 12 months).

Add no purchase or conversion tracking to this page. Visitors reach it from old links, not from a checkout. A purchase tag here would count orders that did not happen.
